Terms of Sale

Payment terms: Deposit of 30% on the total invoiced value with the balance payable 21 days following delivery, unless payment arrangements otherwise agreed.

Warranties

HydroCon warrants HydroCon pipes and HydroSTON pavers against manufacturing defect. However, since HydroCon pipes and HydroSTON pavers are only part of a bioretention or permeable pavement structure respectively, HydroCon cannot provide warranty beyond the product itself. Overall performance of a permeable pavement system, for example, depends on design of substructure, installation, materials used, and maintenance.

Company Background

HydroCon Australasia was formed in 2001 for the purpose of adapting, further developing, manufacturing and marketing HydroCon stormwater retention and infiltration technology in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia/Pacific region.

HydroCon products are based on German permeable concrete and water technologies and benefit from extensive research conducted over many years. HydroCon Australasia transferred manufacturing know-how and adapted German products to Australian climate and rainfall conditions. Products are manufactured in Australia and meet all relevant Australian Standards.

HydroCon places considerable emphasis on research and development of cost effective, sustainable stormwater treatment devices and on delivering solutions tailored to local conditions and situations. Research focuses on hydraulic behaviour, pollutant retention, design, construction and maintenance. HydroCon continues to engage in extensive research and development activities and has participated as an industry partner in Australian research programs with University of Technology Sydney’s Faculty of Engineering and the University of South Australia’s Centre for Water Management and Reuse.

Mission

HydroCon’s mission is to contribute to environmental protection by providing effective, high quality and sustainable stormwater solutions in the urban environment, using leading edge permeable concrete technology.

Products

HydroCon products include HydroSTON® permeable concrete pavers and HydroCon permeable concrete pipes. Both products are supplied directly from manufacturing plants in NSW. All sales within Australia are handled from HydroCon’s Sydney office. Since HydroCon products are relatively new to the Australian market, HydroCon prefers to have direct contact with customers and stands ready to provide technical assistance with design, installation and maintenance.

HydroFilter® stormwater filtration units are marketed and distributed, under licence, by Humes – a division of Holcim Australia.

HydroCon systems offer solutions for Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and innovative water management. Our systems:

  • improve water quality, treat stormwater at source, facilitate on-site retention and reuse, control discharge and reduce flooding;
  • can be ‘confined’ so that primary, secondary and tertiary treatment takes place wholly within systems allowing them to be used in very difficult site conditions;
  • provide substantial saving in infrastructure costs, are modular in design, easy to install, do not restrict land use, require little maintenance and have long life;
  • are compatible with other measures or devices, performing well either as standalone systems or as part of treatment trains.

HydroCon systems have been installed in a wide range of applications in Australia, and have won numerous Stormwater Industry Association (SIA) awards.

Territory of Operations

HydroCon Australasia operates in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia/Pacific region. The Company’s market focus is currently – Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.
