APPLICATIONS – DRAINAGE & STREET PONDING

HydroCon pipes are being used in a variety of drainage applications – from stormwater management in brownfield development eg Kinross Business & Industrial Park to street ponding in the Rockdale Council local government area (shown in photo above).
HydroCon pipes have large storage capacity (196 litres per linear metre) and a minimum exfiltration rate of 1.5 litres per linear metre per second with a head of 150mm.
HydroSTON permeable pavers may provide an alternative solution to ponding in situations where sediment loads are low. Where subsoil conditions allow infiltration, installation of HydroSTON can reduce peak stormwater flows and alleviate pressures on existing stormwater systems. For new developments, greater use of permeable paving may allow pipe size to be reduced, GPTs to be eliminated and landscaped or building areas increased, with consequent savings/cost offsets.
